As a consultant to the United Nations, Martin has cultivativated an international reputation as a leading teacher of fashion technology.  As an author, he has written many books that are considered compulsory reading for all students of pattern-cutting.

Martin has been influential in the development of pattern-cutting education in both India & China and has recently opened a branch of LCFS in Hanoi.  He has also produced a range of books, DVDs and tools for the fashion industry under the name of ShobenFashion Media.
