Work Experience

LCFS and Northumbria University have strong links with many key businesses within in the fashion industry providing our students the opportunity to complete quality work experience.

Competition is tough but most students have an enjoyable and rewarding experience! Work experience is designed to give you knowledge of the commercial practice of design and design related industries. It enables you to interact with other professionals and to observe and relate to the commercial application of practices you have acquired through your academic studies so far. It furthers your practical experience of the development, production and marketing of a product or service as part of a working team.
 
Companies include, Vivienne Westwood, Diesel, Marks and Spencer, River Island, Jonathan Saunders, Topshop and Julien Macdonald.

Completing work experience will make your CV stand out in a crowd and enhance your prospects for future employment. It shows that you are committed to working in design and have developed transferable skills that might be of use in the marketplace.
